This pipe was part of a collection that took “Best Briar Collection” for the Chicagoland International Pipe Show for the year 2006.  The very rare panel shaped bowl has wonderful straight grain with a domed partially rusticated top and perfectly situated birdseye. The pipe is a sitter.  I would date this pipe at about 1968 to 1971.  It does not have a Lane Mark, but of course is Lane era.

 

This pipe is in pristine condition. The nomenclature is crisp and clear and reads: Made by Hand with Extra Large over it.

 

The dimensions of this beautiful pipe are: length 6 1/8”; height 2”; width 1 ½”; the draft hole is center bottom.

 

This pipe has been meticulously and thoroughly cleaned, sanitized and polished for your immediate enjoyment.  It was formerly very lightly enjoyed and is free from any tooth marks, dings, or scratches.
