Maigurs
is a new Pipe Carver I met recently at the InterNational Chicago Pipe
Show. There were many new carvers at the Show. Several of them I thought
were very good and had a solid future ahead of them making fine higher
Grade pipes.The Show started at 10am on Saturday and I was at his table for the first time at around 11am. ( There were 360 tables )
At that time he had sold two of his pipes.
It was easy to see,
Maigurs was not your average new pipe carver.Not only were his pipes of Superior quality...
They offered refreshing unique designs.
Clearly this was a man that had been working with wood for many years.
This Picture show Maigurs working on the pipe I asked him to make for me after I returned home from Chicago.
I believe, Maigurs Knets will very soon be listed among the very few Master Carvers from America that is seen as making the Highest Grade Pipes, that are the total equal of and perhaps even Superior to the now Famous European Carvers
At his table again, around 2pm I found out that about 65% of his pipes had been SOLD! By the end of the Show, all the pipes were gone!
Maigurs has been advised by the gifted Carver and his Friend ALEX FLOROV, but the ideas for his amazing designs are all Maigurs
