This is a very handsome smooth/sandblast contrast Danish freehand made by Viggo Nielsen. This pipe is a moderately smoked estate piece with very light scratching on the stem. This pipe is 6-inches long with a bowl height of 2-1/4 inches from tip to tip, about 1-3/4 inches across the top of the plateau rim, and the chamber width is a little over 3/4 of an inch. It weighs 58.5 grams
 

Nomenclature: On the left side of the shank is the circled Viggo Nielsen block lettering logo (over) Handmade (over) Denmark

Now Retired, Viggo made his last Pipe about one Year ago. You cannot have a complete Danish Pipe Collection if it does not include a VIGGO NIELSEN. Viggo is the Dad of  Jurgen and Kai Nielsen, who today, continue making fine FreeHand Danish Pipes.
