The West Coast Pipe Show in Las Vegas

Just about the only place in Las Vegas that a person could not smoke their pipe was at the West Coast Pipe and Tobacco Show. Go out the doors of the Show, down a few steps and people were smoking everywhere. It is a  tribute to our elected  leaders to think of laws like these.  
The Picture to the right shows J.D.T. Cooke, also known as Mr. SandBlast. Bob Swanson of Perry White Pipes is seen on the left, second table table back. The Pipe Show rented out all 102 tables.
He I am in the picture on the left with American Carver Bruce Weaver in the center. Bruce is looking at a pipe made by new Carver Steve Liskey ( Left). Steve Books ( on right ) above, is one of probably less than a dozen independent Master Tobacco Blenders in the World.

Steve offered free samples of his blends and showed Collectors how they could order more from Oregon's Largest and oldest Pipe and Cigar store: RICHES, in Portland, Oregon.
 
 
Steve helped me with a table. I had over 40 pipes to start. New and Estate from Carvers like Maigurs Knets, Jorgrn L. Viprati, Lane Era Charatan's,Preben Holm, Paul Winslow, Baldo Baldi, Jess Chonowitsch and others.
The pictures above show a small portion of the pipes brought from Italy by L. Viprati. The pipe above on the right, was, to me, one of the most beautiful pipes at the Show!
 
On the left above is American Carver Jon Rinaldi. His pipes are very well made, fair priced, and offers designs from the American SouthWest. His wife makes very beautiful pipe stands out of Briar and other exotic woods.

Above, Steve Liskey and some of his pipes. Steve is a new Carver. Many come and go but I believe Steve has the skills to soon be one of the top rated Carvers in America. Right now, his pipes offer a great value and promise to be a very good investment for the future.
